City Planned is a personal app for curating places (“spots”) in a city and building shareable plans. We designed it to be private by default: your content is stored in your own Apple iCloud account, and we do not operate a server that collects or stores your data.

In short: we don’t collect your data, we don’t track you, we don’t show ads, and we don’t share your information with third parties. Your spots, plans, photos, and profile live in your personal iCloud.

2. Information the App Handles

When you use City Planned, you may create and store the following content. This information is created by you, on your device, and stored in your own iCloud account — it is not sent to the Developer:

• Profile details you choose to add: your display name and an optional profile photo.

• Spots you save: names, categories, addresses, neighborhoods, notes, ratings, tags, links, and photos you add.

• Plans and itineraries you build, including their stops, dates, notes, and cover photos.

• Photos you take with the camera or select from your photo library to attach to spots and plans.

• App preferences, such as your selected city and display settings, stored locally on your device.

City Planned does not request or use your location, and does not access your contacts, health data, or other sensitive information.

3. How Your Information Is Used

Your information is used solely to provide the App’s features on your device and across your own devices — for example, to display your spots and plans, keep them in sync through iCloud, and, when you choose, share a city or plan with people you invite.

We do not use your information for analytics, advertising, profiling, or marketing, and we do not sell or rent it.

4. Where Your Data Is Stored (Apple iCloud)

City Planned stores your content in your personal Apple iCloud account using Apple’s CloudKit service. This keeps your data in sync across your own devices signed in to the same Apple ID. The Developer does not run its own servers and does not have access to the contents of your iCloud data.

5. Sharing With People You Invite

City Planned lets you share a city or a plan with other people through Apple’s built-in iCloud sharing. When you invite someone, the content you share is made available to them through Apple’s CloudKit sharing so you can collaborate. The information other members can see includes the shared spots, plans, photos, and the display name and profile photo you have set.

• You control who you invite, and you can stop sharing or leave a shared city at any time within the App.

• People you share with are chosen by you; the App does not make your content public or discoverable by anyone you have not invited.

• Sharing is carried out entirely through Apple’s iCloud infrastructure; the Developer does not receive a copy of the shared content.

6. Device Permissions

The App asks for the following permissions only to enable specific features, and only when you use them:

• Camera — so you can take a photo to attach to a spot or plan. Photos you take are stored with your content in iCloud.

• Photo Library — so you can choose existing photos to attach. City Planned uses Apple’s system photo picker, which lets you select individual photos without granting access to your entire library.

You can review or change these permissions at any time in the iOS Settings app under City Planned.

7. What We Do Not Collect or Do

• We do not collect your data on any Developer server — there is no backend that receives your content.

• We do not use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.

• We do not track you across other apps or websites.

• We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their own purposes.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

Because your content lives in your own iCloud, you remain in control of it:

• You can edit or delete individual spots, plans, lists, and photos in the App at any time.

• The App’s Account screen includes “Delete All Data” and “Erase Everything” options that remove your content from the device and from your iCloud.

• You can also manage or remove the App’s iCloud data from your device’s iCloud settings, and deleting the App removes its local data.

Deleting your data does not affect copies that another member may still have from content you previously shared with them.

9. Children’s Privacy

City Planned is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the App does not collect data on our servers, any content is stored in the account holder’s own iCloud.

10. Security

Your content is protected by Apple’s iCloud security and by the passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID on your device and Apple ID. Because the Developer does not store your data, we cannot access, disclose, or recover it. Please keep your Apple ID secure.

11. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, such as the right to access, correct, or delete it. Because your data is stored in your own iCloud and controlled by you through the App and your Apple ID, you can exercise these rights directly.
